Former lead singer of the Temptations Dennis Edwards is a talented musician and is one of the most gifted singers of our time, He began singing at the age of seven. By 1961 he had formed his own group "Dennis Edwards & The Fireballs." Later in 1966 he joined the Contours.

Once a Temptation, always a Temptation, might be the
motto for this explosive vocalist, who has joined, left, and rejoined the
group three times. Utilizing his unique style and smooth delivery, he
became known as one of the most influential vocal singers in the history
of pop music.
Dennis Edwards was enlisted to replace David Ruffin as lead singer of The Temptations in 1968. He spent the next nine years in that role, his gritty leads fueling such songs as "Cloud Nine," "I Can't Get Next to You," "Ball of Confusion" and "Psychedelic Shack," as well as the groundbreaking singles "Papa Was a Rolling Stone" and "Masterpiece." He left for the first time in 1977, returned in 1979, and left again in 1983. A year later he made one of the great duets of the decade, "Don't Look Any Further," with Siedah Garrett.
Dennis fought in and out court attempting to use varying forms of the name "Temptations." He now has the right to perform under the name of The Temptations Review featuring Dennis Edwards.
Just a few of the many special appearances by Dennis Edwards include guest appearances on Johnny Carson, Ed Sullivan, Soul Train, The Joan Rivers Show, the Merv Griffin Show, Midnight Special, Solid Gold, BET, Motown's 25th Anniversary, The Oprah Winfrey and the Arsenio Hall shows.
